Aware is an always-on AI safety layer. It runs on your EFB and connects to your panel through standard Garmin Connext interfaces. From engine start to shutdown, it does four things continuously.
It transcribes ATC in real time. Phraseology trained on aviation audio, not generic speech.
It verifies your readback executed correctly. When ATC says "descend and maintain 8,000, turn left heading 270," Aware watches what the aircraft does and flags the mismatch.
It monitors procedure adherence. Loaded a SID, STAR, or approach? Aware tracks altitude crossings, speed restrictions, and step-downs against the published plate.
It catches deviations. Track, altitude, and speed deltas against the active flight plan get surfaced before ATC has to call them out.
Compatible with aircraft equipped with G1000, G1000 NXi, G3000, G5000, and select non-Garmin panels that expose ADS-B and FMS data.
The default profile is tuned for single-pilot IFR. Flight schools and Part 135 operators have their own defaults. And any operator can configure their own.
Post-flight review only. Aware listens and records, but doesn't speak up.
"Cleared to 8,000. Currently descending through 8,400." Soft visual, no aural alert.
Reserved for active deviations that need pilot attention now. Aural alert, persistent visual.
